Earlier this month, the Speedpay team traveled to Phoenix, Arizona for IASA 2019, the premier event for insurance industry professionals. Between the Vendor Connect Tours, where we demonstrated first-hand how the mobile wallet solution improves payments, and the sponsorship of the Tuesday night IASA Street Party, we found some time to attend several general and panel sessions. With over 75 sessions and 195 speakers, there was no shortage of educational opportunities. Here’s what we learned.

IASA-Booth-1A Culture of Creativity is Key.

At Speedpay, we have an open culture of creativity where everyone, regardless of experience level, is invited to bring a fresh, new idea or perspective to the table. According to IASA’s keynote speaker, Joel Cohen, screenwriter for The Simpsons, different perspectives are key to success – and businesses across all industries should take note. All ideas – even “bad” ones – can inspire someone on the team to think up the next winning idea, opportunity, product or program.

Digital Transformation Isn’t Slowing Down.

Technology has been evolving so rapidly in the insurance industry it can be difficult for companies to keep up[1]. When it comes to billing, it’s critical that we continue to introduce companies to configurable solutions that improve their business – whether that’s paperless and mobile billing options, or chat bots and cutting-edge AI technology. We know it’s our job as a solutions provider to ensure our clients understand the array of solutions available to them, and make the best recommendation for their businesses.

Consumer Experience Remains Top of Mind.

At Speedpay, the consumer experience is always a major topic of discussion, and this was no different at IASA. We always strive to provide the most cutting-edge solutions to billers and their customers, but we also recognize that new tools can cause confusion. To prevent this and put the consumer first, Speedpay works hard to provide tools that are easy to use and make the bill pay journey as seamless as possible.

After two full days of engaging with our clients and peers, we closed out our experience mixing and mingling with attendees outside the Phoenix Convention Center.
