Q: Do you have a morning ritual?
AB: Yes! Every day I get up early and run about 5 miles and then I take my dog for a mile-long walk to get coffee.
Q: What’s the first thing you do when you get to the office in the morning?
AB: We recently moved to an agile development process in-house, so every day I start my day with two half-hour, cross functional meetings – the first is called the daily scrum, where we touch base on everyone’s work for the day and answer any questions.
The second half hour of the meeting is with the UX team to go through design for new product offerings. These meetings are a really great way to make sure there’s high engagement and progress every day and that every question is addressed by the team as soon as it comes up.
Q: What’s your favorite part of your job?
AB: I love learning about new technology and figuring out the strategy for how payments fit into new tech offerings in the marketplace. I also love designing and creating products from scratch.
I really enjoy meeting with our internal team each day to problem solve and create new services for clients and their customers. I think we’ve got a great team at Speedpay. We’ve got a lot of people with long-term expertise and passion.
Q: What’s the most exciting thing happening in the product market right now?
AB: Our next release of Speedpay – it’s very innovative and customer- and client-focused, and it takes feedback into account. To me, that’s the greatest thing in the market right now.

AB: I’ve been a part of the Speedpay family for 20 years and there are a lot of reasons why I’ve stuck around for that amount of time. The service we offer and the people on the Speedpay team have a lot of integrity. We solve real problems for clients and their consumers.
